How to reach usefulweb: feedback form, email, what to include in a bug report and how quickly you can expect an answer.
usefulweb is run by one person, Marcel Flaig. Questions, ideas, error reports and requests about your data all reach him directly.
Feedback form
The feedback form is the fastest way to reach us. It is linked on every tool page (the "Feedback" button) and in the footer. When you open it from a tool, the tool and the page are filled in automatically, so we know exactly what you were looking at. The form works without JavaScript and without an account; an email address is only needed if you want an answer.
You can also write to games@codemagic.net. Please write in English or German if you can; other languages are fine too, we will use a translation tool.
What to include in a bug report
A good report lets us reproduce the problem in a few minutes:
- The page address (URL) of the tool or page, or the tool name.
- The inputs you used. For calculators, the numbers and options you entered. For file tools, the file type and size (please do not send confidential files).
- What you expected and what you got, for example "the monthly payment should be 1,234.56, the tool shows 1,243.56". If you know the correct value, tell us where it comes from (a bank statement, a law, a standard).
- Your browser and device if the page looks or behaves wrong, and the language you had selected.
- A screenshot if the layout is broken. Attach it to an email; the feedback form only accepts text.
For translation errors, please name the language, the page and the sentence. For accessibility barriers, see the accessibility statement.
When to expect an answer
We read every message. Because usefulweb is a one-person project, answers usually take a few working days, sometimes longer during holidays. Confirmed calculation errors are fixed with priority and ship in the next release. We do not answer messages that ask for paid links, guest posts or SEO deals.
Privacy and legal matters
Requests to access or delete data about you (for example a feedback message you sent) can be sent by email; see the privacy information. The postal address and the legal notice are in the imprint.
